The channel will televise four hours of coverage a day on Thursday, June 13 through Sunday, June 16. The Trials Format
The trials will feature two types of events: time trials and finals.
In time trials, swimmers will swim individually in heats, with the fastest times advancing to the finals. The top two finishers in each event at the trials will earn a spot on the U.S. Olympic team, provided they meet the qualifying standards.
In finals, the top 16 qualifiers in each event will swim head-to-head in a seeded championship heat, with the winner earning an Olympic berth. The remaining finalists will swim in consolation and bonus heats, with their times used to determine tiebreakers and wild card selections for the Olympics.

The top names to keep an eye on during the Olympic Trials include Missy Franklin, Katie Ledecky, and Ryan Lochte. Franklin is a five-time Olympic medalist, and dominate the 100-meter backstroke.
